In brief
- Every talk was livestreamed to YouTube, with interviews in between: about 32 hours of live coverage in all.
- The talks were chosen about three months ahead, from no shortage of submissions, by guessing what would still be relevant at the event.
- The thread he found most interesting was WebMCP, because he uses computer use so much.
- One use he heard about: pointing a WebMCP server at a product to debug it and stress test it once it is in production.
- Advice for newcomers: play around with it. Getting something running is so easy that there is no excuse not to.
- The next edition he pointed to was AGNTCon North America, on 22 and 23 October.
Why this conversation
A conference about agents moves at the speed of the field it covers. Talks are picked months before anyone gives them, and by the time they are given the tools have moved on. Someone who watched nearly all of it from behind a camera has a useful view of what held up. On the day after AGNTCon + MCPCon Europe in Amsterdam, the host sat down with Demetrios of the MLOps Community, who ran the event’s livestream.
This is a short conversation, under four minutes. Who else the show met that week is in AGNTCon + MCPCon Europe 2026: who we met.
Running the livestream
“I livestreamed the whole event,” he says. All the talks went out on the YouTube channel, and between them he ran around interviewing people. Asked about 36 hours of live show, he corrects the figure: it ended up being about 32, bouncing between talks, interviews and podcasts, some of them recorded on a tandem bicycle.
He also worked on the other side, making sure the event had good talks to begin with. There was no shortage of submissions. The hard part was deciding which ones to take three months before the event, while guessing what would still be relevant on the day.
WebMCP, and testing in production
Watching that many talks, the thread he found most interesting was WebMCP, the work on bringing MCP to the web. His reason is personal: he uses computer use a lot, and wants that experience to be the best it can be. The use he heard about that stood out was debugging: people using a WebMCP server to stress test their apps once they are already out in production. The host had not thought of that use case. He describes himself as very bullish on WebMCP in general.
The host mentions a word heard often at the event, composability, as the stack of knowledge in the ecosystem keeps getting bigger. He agrees that you see it.
Advice for newcomers
For people new to the industry, coming to an event like this one is a good way to get the full download. Beyond that, his advice is simple: play around with it. Getting something up and running is so easy now, he says, “that there’s no excuse not to.” The host sums it up as getting your hands dirty, building a project and sharing it with the community.
He closes with the next date on his calendar: AGNTCon North America, on 22 and 23 October.
