Udienza in The New Stack

The New Stack cites Udienza and our CNCF conversation with Bob Killen and Daniel Krook: one human request can set off about 20 agent requests.

On 16 October 2026, The New Stack published AI agents turn one request into about 20. Kubernetes is evolving to handle it., by Bill Doerrfeld. The piece is about running AI agents on Kubernetes, with kagent, an open source framework for building and running agents in a Kubernetes cluster, at its centre. Its section “Agents and Kubernetes are formally introduced” presents Udienza: what the name means, an audience with someone you don’t usually get to meet, and the short conversations with leaders in cloud native and AI infrastructure that the show has published so far, naming Luca Galante, Chris Aniszczyk, Kat Cosgrove and Manik Surtani.

The CNCF conversation behind the headline

The article then turns to our conversation with Bob Killen and Daniel Krook of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, recorded at Open Source Summit Europe in Prague. Two points from it carry the piece: Kubernetes is becoming the base layer that a new wave of AI projects builds on, and agents put a new kind of load on it. In The New Stack’s words, “a single human request can trigger about 20 agent requests”, and agents expect answers in well under a second.

That figure is also where our own clip of the conversation starts: one human action, twenty agent requests.

The full conversation, How the CNCF judges, premieres on Tuesday 20 October at 17:00 Amsterdam time, here and on YouTube: how the Technical Oversight Committee decides which of its projects deserve your trust, and why AI agents stress Kubernetes.

Thank you to Bill Doerrfeld and The New Stack for the mention.
